Our fabulous covered cycle shed was funded by Friends of Ashfield and Otley Cycle Club. Tony Wild, the president of Otley Cycle Club, came to Ashfield today to ceremonially open our cycle shelter. You can see him here pictured with Gareth Frith of Otley Cycle Club, Mrs Popplewell, the chair of Friends of Ashfield, a selection of our keen cyclists and scooterists and myself.
Otley had a wildlife arts festival over half term with wildlife talks and craft activities.Ashfield's entries to the wildlife art competition consisted of individual paintings, collages and drawings by: Olivia, Lennon, Arabella, Phoebe D and Max W. Year 2 created an autumn robin collage and Early Years created a hedgehog compilation.
We are really enjoying lunchtime this term.
Year 6 really impressed us in their residential to Herd Farm on the last week before breaking up for half term.
