ARISS contact between Ashfield Primary School GB1APS, and Tim Peake GB1SS 5 May 2016

This is our recording of the ARISS contact between Tim Peake GB1SS and Ashfield Primary School, Otley, West Yorkshire on the 5th May 2016. The video starts with an introduction from head teacher Mrs Warren, and there then follows a number of presentations from several of the classes at Ashfield. The actual contact with Tim starts at 1hr 6 mins into the video.

Our contact with Tim Peake was an amazing experience that all children and staff will remember for the rest of their lives. Everybody pulled together to make it a truly memorable day that was commended by the ARISS team.

The contact with Tim, along with the huge STEM festival we held earlier in the year will hopefully inspire our pupils in the years to come.

We received a tremendous amount of positive feedback and media coverage, with countries as far as Hong Kong reporting on the contact! Some links to articles are below, as well as some more photographs and coverage of the day.

GB1SS: schools speaking to Tim Peake
